Privacy Policy

This policy covers dataheretic.com, operated independently. It describes what data is collected, why, and your rights over it.

Data we collect

Server logs Our hosting infrastructure (AWS CloudFront / S3) automatically records standard access logs: IP address, browser user agent, pages requested, timestamps, and HTTP status codes. These are used for security monitoring and are retained for 90 days.

Newsletter subscriptions We do not currently run a newsletter. If we introduce one in future, this policy will be updated before any subscription data is collected.

Cookies and local storage This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. We use browser localStorage for theme preference (light/dark) and post interaction state. No data from localStorage is sent to any server.

Third-party fonts We load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may record your IP address as a result. See Google’s privacy policy for details. We are working to self-host fonts to eliminate this.

Analytics We do not currently run analytics. If this changes, this policy will be updated before any analytics are deployed.

When you click an affiliate link, you are redirected to a third-party site. Their privacy policies govern any data collected after that point. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more.
